For this photo shoot we really didn't have it organised very well for reasons which were beyond our control, people were pulling out and all the rest of it... our lovely model stepped up at the last minute to help us to create these beautiful images!
Her outfit was a cute Japanese style sailor outfit... i think it was from a fancy dress website for Halloween but it definitely worked for this shot!
now on to hair and make up!
For her hair I curled it with a pair of straighteners... after my GHDs died I decided to try a different brand and discovered a pair called C2 from Sallys Salon for a fraction of the price with a temperature control! they are very good!
I loosely curled the hair and using lots of hair spray and some very back combing was able to get the hair in very loose curls.
When I had done the curls I gently tied the hair up into two bunches and back brushed it some more. The model originally had bangs which were a little long and in order for us to be able to see the make up we had to train the fringe to the side using straighteners and more hair spray overall I think we achieved the hair style that we were going for! :)
As for the make up:
The foundation was the models own as I tend to think that everyone has a foundation which suits their skin and generally like to use the models own foundation.
I do remember in this particular case that the foundation was Lancome. It was quite good but the model had very good skin anyway so very little make up was used on her!
As for her eyes we used a very pink blusher as the eye shadows we had were not the right colour! we found a very cheap bright pink blusher from Superdrugs and used that on the inside corners of her eyes and a very bright blue and green for the middle and outside of the eyelids. The photo has been toned down a little to suit the photographers style
@ the price of £3.29 it was an absolute bargain!
for the eyeliner we used Collection 2000 another bargain!
for the eyelashes we used some false eyelashes which were also the models own and some black eyelash glue which sadly was not bought in the uk! we applied a thin layer of mascara to the eye lashes to finish off the eyes
we used a brown eye shadow to darken the eyebrows and to make them stand out and stronger and a light blush... I think the eyeshadow doubled up as a blush in this case!
for the lips we used a very red lipstick and drew initially a heart looking shape on to the lips and then blended it out a little. before we applied the lipstick we also applied foundation to the lips to make them a neutral colour!
Enjoy the Look!
